I’m Helena, a freelance graphic designer and illustrator that can animate! I consider myself a visual translator, turning writing into graphics. I'm also obsessed with specialty coffee and cats.
I combine my skills in design, illustration and motion graphics to create projects that have a narrative, are fun and unique. Most often I work on storyboards, character design, web and editorial illustrations, packaging and creative branding. When I have an opportunity, I also paint murals!
While I love exploring bright colors, patterns and textures, my main goal is to match the visual mood to the brief, communicate the message properly and grab attention!
I fell in love with drawing, street art, graphic novels and animated movies. It lead me to the School of Design in my hometown of Zagreb for a Bachelor, and later to ESAD in Porto for my Master's degree, both in Visual Communication.
Ideally, I like to be involved in projects that promote values such as sustainability, helping communities, animal rights and supporting small businesses.
Otherwise, I'm interested in projects that involve music, fitness&health, psychology, urban culture, fashion and education.
